A break-in happened at a post office in Ballard early Thursday, around 4:30 a.m.

Police received a report of three men who attached a chain to the front doors of the post office and their pickup truck, ripping the doors off of the building.

They then stole a self-service postage station, which investigators say contains no money and nothing of value, and sped away.

Police found the truck and the postal machine later at the 7200 block of Detroit Avenue SW.

Police are still searching for the suspects.
