As contestant on “The X Factor” and a member of “Fifth Harmony,” one of the best-selling girl groups of all time, Normani got her first taste of fame and fortune as a teenager. Since going solo, in 2018, the mononymous singer and dancer, now 26, has released a bunch of catchy duets with huge stars, including “Love Lies” with Khalid, which has been viewed almost a quarter billion times on YouTube, “Diamonds” with Megan Thee Stallion, and last year’s “Wild Side” with Cardi B.

Two Years ago, the “Motivation” singer (and two-time Met Gala attendee) celebrated her ongoing professional success with the $3 million purchase of a brand-new ultra-modern home in the Sherman Oaks area of L.A.’s sprawling San Fernando Valley. Now, with her long-awaited debut solo album still in the works, the still rising star has hoisted her multimillion-dollar starter home back on the market at a profitable $4 million.

Cleared of personal belongings and staged for the selling process, the two-year-old residence is visible from the street only behind a high wall and secured gates. Fronted by a small, faux-turfed front yard, there are six bedrooms and six and a half baths in about 4,800 square feet over three floors.

Free-flowing living and entertaining spaces are arranged around a sleek, glass-railed staircase and a showy wine display cabinet housed behind floor-to-ceiling glass panels. There are gas fireplaces in both the living room and the family room, while the kitchen is arranged around a large island with pale wood cabinets, designer appliances, and boldly veined marble-like countertops and backsplashes.

Disappearing walls of glass open the family room and kitchen to the backyard, which is surrounded by dense tropical foliage. In addition to a small loggia, the yard offers a lounge area with fire pit, a built-in grill, and a zero-edge swimming pool and spa.

Other highlights include what listings tantalizingly describe as “a velvet upholstered mudroom-style entry” and a rooftop terrace with outdoor kitchen and wraparound views of the neighborhood treetops. The house also has an extensive finished lower level, otherwise known as a basement, that includes a second wine display space, this one behind glass in the triangular space under the stairs, along with a home theater, a lounge and an en-suite guest/staff bedroom.

Not that there’s any shade to be tossed at a 26-something-year-old woman and her $3 million starter house but given Normani’s rocket ride to success it seems she’s likely headed for even more A-lister-style digs. How’s that for some motivation?

The property is available through James Harris and Alex Vichinsky, both with Bond Street Partners at The Agency.
